There are 25 squares formed which includes one square with a free space. There are set patterns in US Bingo that the players need to complete. The patterns can be in the form of any letter, horizontal or vertical line. The game begins when the callers starts calling the numbers. The players are required to match the called numbers with the numbers in their cards. The winner is ascertained when the given pattern is completed by any player and he claims 'BINGO'.
UK Bingo
Bingo is played in the similar way in Australia and UK with the help of the Bingo cards made up of unique combination of numbers. A Bingo card used in UK Bingo has 3 rows and 9 columns. Each row has 5 numbers and other spaces left empty. UK Bingo card has numbers varying between 1-90. The first column has numbers from 1-9, second column has numbers from 10-19, thirds column has numbers from 20-29. The series continues till the last column with numbers from 80-90. The winner patterns to be formed are announced before starting the game.
The caller calls out the randomly selected numbers one by one. The player has around 15 seconds to mark the numbers on their card so it is important for the player to be attentive while the numbers are being called. The player who achieves the pattern first is declared the winner. If more than one person claims BINGO then the prize is distributed equally among the winners.
Online Bingo
UK and US Bingo both can be played online. The rules of the online and land based Bingo are quite similar. The rules of Online Bingo may vary according to the game, so the players are advised to check the rules before they start playing the game.
